Just to let you know…
Today Yeni and I drove down to the courthouse and decided to tie the knot!
We had a very, very small ceremony at the Ypsilanti courthouse and then enjoyed an AMAZING cake created for us by Cake Nouveau.
Courtney (you’ve probably seen her on Food Network) really made something that meant a lot to us using Yeni’s favorite B’s: Bears, Blue, and Beautiful.
In South Florida for the wedding of Scott and Honey, we decided to head to Disney World after the wedding. We had visited Disney last year and had a great time — so this year we figured a small trip would be a nice way to cap off the trip to South Beach. Well a funny thing happened in the Magic Kingdom…
Fred and Kunta drove down from Ann Arbor to Fort Lauderdale on Sunday — stopping only to enjoy lunch with friends in Chattanooga, TN. Yeni will be flying down on Thursday morning and together will celebrate Fred’s sister’s wedding in Miami.
Kunta is enjoying the break from the cold, Michigan weather — coming out of his pseudo hibernation to enjoy the Florida Sunshine. Ah, Florida… how Fred missed you so!
What to do when you want a really nice Valentine’s Day Dinner — but are also budget conscious? Well, you make your own dinner of course.
This year, we decided to cook our own meal instead of visiting The Gandy Dancer (which was a restaurant we visited almost a year ago). But again, this year we decided to splurge a little bit on ingredients, but also keep it much more economical than going out to an expensive, fancy restaurant.
The menu:
Great dinner… and felt much better on the wallet. Plus — the food and atmosphere was better than anything we could have had outside our home.
